My images are taken using traditional photographic methods. I believe in Straight photography. This refers to photography that attempts to depict a scene as realistically and objectively as possible, without the use of manipulation.

Equipment I use: Canon film cameras & lenses. Graflex 4x5 camera and Kodak Etkachrome film.

I live in SE Alaska on Baranof Island in Sitka with my husband Randy and our standard issue black lab, Katylu.  We are incredibly lucky to live in the Tongass National Forest on the edge of the Pacific Ocean.  The Tongass is 17 million acres big and it's the largest temperate rainforest in the world. It's home to an enormous amount of wildlife including several endangered species of rare flora & fauna. This is a place everyone should visit and a place we need to protect and preserve.  Most of my images are taken in the Tongass National Forest. Living here also allows me to be able to travel to other locations inside Alaska and to places in Northern Canada which include the Yukon, Northwest Territories and the Canadian Arctic. There is always another adventure ahead.

Thank you for viewing my images.
